RTSO Research Committee (RC)

Welcome to the Research Committee website! We hope you’ll find access to resources that will help you with your research, evaluation and quality improvement research journey to enhance the effectiveness of your practice and outcomes for your patients.

Vision

Respiratory therapists across Ontario will provide leadership in related research, evaluation and quality improvement research initiatives that will improve health outcomes.

Mission

To build research capacity among Respiratory Therapists (RTs) in Ontario, the RTSO Research Committee will provide a framework to guide the development of respiratory therapists’ role in research, evaluation, and quality improvement research so that Ontario RTs will be recognized as Canadian leaders in research studies and publications.

The Research Committee has developed a Framework that is aligned with the RTSO’s Strategic Plan, embodies the Committee’s Vision and Mission and guides the groups’ annual work plan and activities. The work of the Committee provides the RTSO membership with access to processes and resources to advance the profession’s leadership in research, evaluation, and quality improvement initiatives.
